"Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to EVERYONE who was there today for making it such an amazing, inspiring, fantastic experience. (Gosh, I'm getting all teary here!) It's such a blessing that we have found each other and a wonderful mentor (AJ) and drill sargent (Sarge)... the love and support I felt today was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Never again will we feel like we used to girls... our lives are forever changed cos we've felt the pain of pushing ourselves... and enjoyed it!"
Thank you so much also to the beautiful AJ, Sarge and everyone who encouraged my mum... she had a really great day and I'm crossing my fingers that it is the kick start she needed to work on loving herself again. I know she felt inspired today."

It seems like I joined HBC years ago, whereas it was only early this year. And wow, has my life changed since then. The people I have met here, both online and at Bootys -- in particular, Emma, Stav and Kate, but also Anna, Meg, Belinda, Mardi, Sarah, Amy and Yvette...have made me feel so differently about myself that I feel almost unrecognisable.
I now feel that I am living a much more healthy life and seeing things with more balance. I realise that it doesn't have to be a race to lose weight or become healthier. I just have to keep plugging away at it.
Since I have been a member of HBC I have:
* run the Bay Run (7km in 49 minutes...yay!) with Meg -- what a legend, girl! I never thought I could do it, but you kept encouraging me.
*run the City to Surf in 110 minutes with the increasingly gorgeous, sexy and buff Stav!
*completed 4 booties (and had a fantastic time doing so!)
*been on the HBC Pink Party harbour cruise
*had my first girls' weekend away EVER with girls from HBC
*got a promotion which I attribute to generally feeling much more confident about myelf
*joined a touch football team (I suck at it, but it's a lot of fun!)
AND
I've made an awesome group of friends!
When i joined HBC, everyone I met here provided me with the support I needed to build my self esteem up again after it had been pretty shattered. I'm now ready to walk on my own again and so I've made a brave decision not to renew at the moment. I know that the positive changes I've made in my life can be sustained, and perhaps made even better.

I just want to say doing the hbc thing has helped me in ways more than how I look and what I eat etc.. some of your inspirational words have had a real impact on me, and how I view life, and realtionships with my kids and their partners - I'm more accepting and have made some deals with myself to be a more tolerant person (so im new inside and out) money can't buy that - I mean it (she says with a tear in her eye) thank you thank you... for helping me find a self I thought I had lost...

To AJ, Yvette, Sarge & all the incredible ladies I met yesterday at Surfers Booty - you are all amazing!
I really enjoyed myself yesterday and feel completely inspired by all the incredible women that took part. When you look into the eyes of each other – it’s easy to see pieces of yourself. Having that connection of knowing exactly how other people feel is reassuring that you don’t have to do this alone. I love hugs anyway but when I hugged people yesterday – it was real, a genuine embrace that said “I care”. It’s not easy to put yourself out there, but as they say “they journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step”. Although I think I did a damn site more than one step yesterday
I look forward to catching up with you again soon.
Tracy
